6pm, Saturday 29 June 2013 at Papa Pizza House in Rose Bay was the site of an unsual image: 12 "yellow" T-Shirt clad individuals - 5 adults and 7 kids, ready for the adventure of a lifetime - 17 days in Cambodia and Vietnam with theme "Boo-Dah" or our way of saying "Buddah", our spiritual and culinary journey into two countries that emitomise, family, food and culture...
To honour this image the parents of most of our travellers were also present to celebrate a journey of respect and first hand experience. Special mention to Antonia Golfin who won the design competition for a T-Shirt that embodied the excitement and colour of our adventure - this blog is dedicted to her idea and calls upon all 7 young hearts to co-join with the children of Indochina that we embrace at the eve of this eventful journey... The "blue" line in the map on the left, will be deamed "Part 1" of Boo-Dah 2013 which involves 5 adults and 7 kids travelling approx 2,000km by van, train and boat from Siem Reap CAMBODIA to Hanoi VIETNAM. The "pink" line on the right of the map in this blog is "Part 2" of Boo-Dah 2013 and involves global citizen and adventurer, John Golfin continuing on for 15 more days on his own from Hanoi VIETNAM through the wonderful country of Laos to Chang Mai down to Bangkok THAILAND.
"Boo-Dah 2013" - you WILL "beleeb"!!!
